Hi Dawn- How is it going. I was just talking to Russ McCahan and he told me he met with you.
How are things going for you? Is your project in Rwanda moving forward? We have been very busy. We had an article about Africa Bags in Family Circle this summer and have just been trying to keep up every since.
We have expanded our product line into some more decorative bags and are looking for some guidance on the next new Africa Bag. Any interest in getting together sometime so that we could pick your brain for bag ideas?
Dawn
Can you meet Friday for lunch, Golden or Boulder work for us. I think John Gassawanga from Rwanda will join us along with Ammanda Simmons, she visited Faith Alive last year and is going to open a fair Trade business.

we have two groups of women in DRC Congo {mostly women who have been raped and suffered fistula damage} and Jos Nigeria { HIV positive women} who are working towards getting Fair Trade certification, they sew on treadle sewing machines.
They produce many intresting and creative designs and products , however many are not up to standards that would sell in USA , often the items look to African or sometimes not enough African they could use some design help.

can you meet with myself and Amanda Simmons to talk about Fair Trade and what we are doing in Nigeria and DRC with importing crafts. we would be glad to drive to Boulder or Golden and buy you lunch some day.

Hey Dawn - the event is hosted at Heritage High School's Student Center in Denver...I plan to google it for directions. It officially starts at 7pm and goes until around 9pm. I am planning on getting there as close to 5pm as possible to get set up and have all my media in line. If you came before 7 we would have a better chance of talking, although I usually get pretty nervous before these things, so I might be a little "off"...I am looking forward to seeing you and your stuff!
Lovely Dawn - would love to see you on the third and would love for you to bring the products, hopefully toward the end of the evening we will grab a chance to talk. We should also have several volunteers around that can offer feedback as well - you could even set up a table and allow the general public to view and comment on your items and garner some feedback in that way too if you would like...Let me know what you would like to do!
Heya Dawn - I have been thinking about you lately - what's been going on with you and Rwanda? PS - I have a friend who is called to clothing design and I think you all would love talking....can I hook her up with your information? Also, I am a part of an awareness night about human trafficking coming up in Denver first week of Feb - if you have any Rwandan goods or information you would like to have at a table for that event?
