About Me:
I'm about to start my freshman year of college at the University of Colorado. I'm the director of the oneintwenty project, the aim of which is to raise HIV/AIDS awareness as well as money for the Global AIDS Fund. I hope to spend a year or two in Africa after college, possibly in the Peace Corps.

Big week! Big month!

World AIDS Day is tomorrow, December 1st. (I can't believe it's December already!!) We'll be selling necklaces all week, but if you can't find me, I definitely encourage you to attend the Human Rights Night on December 10th. Many PA groups will be there, and you'll hear great presentations about different issues in Africa.

you are in Loveland? I ordered 200 more pieces of jewlery from the Acholi group - internallydisplaced but living in the Kampala area of Uganda now. It will be a great fundraiser. I shoudl get the first order on Aug. 8th or there about - and then the next batch around the 22nd. Educate! volunteers are going to bring them back for me. I am really excited! I would love if our girls at the hostel would learn to make the jewelry so we can use that as a sustainable project in the future, meanwhile, even using Acholi - all refugees and everybody benefits! 100% of our sales will go back to refugee projects! Are you around tomorrow?

Jess, I am going to ask Kami if she can bring some brochures or something to advertise the Africa Fest --do you think that is ok? It is put on by Passion Africa and maybe we could get a few people to show up if we tell them about it on the 10th. By the way---I have purchased the Life Straw and sent them to Africa before. They are a good invention but not so easy to use...
