About Me:
My name is Sarah Ray. I have been living in Woodland Park, CO for the past 4 years and together with my husband Brian, and business partner Donavan Kennedy, have started a fair trade business seeking to shed light on issues of global injustice while bringing empowerment and hope to marginalized people groups around the world. One of our initial projects is with displaced widows and former child soldiers living on a refugee farm in northern Uganda, but we also partner with work in Jinja, Uganda, as well as Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, and Peru. We have a huge heart beat for victims and perpetrators of Human Trafficking worldwide.

Human Trafficking Awareness Night Invitation

Hello Friends! We would love to have your attendance at the Heritage High School Amnesty International Club's Awareness Night. Yobel is presenting focusing on Blood Chocolate and Trafficking on the Ivory Coast in time for Valentine's Day. We will also be talking about our project in Uganda working with post-trafficked child soldiers who are now able to earn school fees while learning a new craft on Canaan Refugee Farm in Masindi. We would love to have you attend.

There will also be a Fair Trade Market set up at the event. If any of you would like to be a vendor and carry Fair Trade goods that benefit people groups world wide. Let me know if you are interested in being a part and I will let you know if we have the space. Vendor space is free.

The event is Tuesday February 3rd from 7-9pm at Heritage High School in Denver.

I think I have the right directions if the school is 1401 W. Geedes Littleton. I'll try to be there around 5:30/6 with my box of goodies. Let me know if that works for you. I'll say a prayer that your nerves will be calm : )

Hi Sarah,
Sorry for the delayed response. I've been in New Orleans the past week working with Katrina. I'd like to see you guys on Tuesday night. I'll bring what I have. Can you give me the details? Where it is and at what time? THanks for thinking of me. I hope you're well!

Hi Sarah,
I saw your event for next week but I am not sure if we can make it. I am making an unplanned trip to Malawi and I am leaving on Sunday. I think Holly is working as well.
We have another shipment of 1700 bags sitting in Malawi and we need to get to the bottom of why this always happens. In addition to this we have some serious problems concerning our head coordinator that need to be handled in person. Of course it is not the best time to try and budget in a trip to Africa but we have to try to resolve these lingering issues.
Did you get my email about the African Extravaganza?

Hi Sarah,
I hope you had a nice holiday season! Things have been busy with family and work as of recent, I was Salt Lake yesterday. I'm leaving for a mission trip for a week to New Orleans tomorrow which I'm looking forward to. I received some product from Rwanda that I'd love to share with you. They're all 1-offs so people can get the idea of what's available. Tom at FH has a lot more product but so far has sent just a sampling. I'd love to get your take on everything and bring the product to your awareness night if that's a good setting for it. I'm afraid I don't have enough product to sell as I thought I'd start by sharing it all and getting feedback from you and others like Todd. I'd love to talk to your friend about clothing design so please pass along my info to her.

Hi Sarah! Our friend Todd with Africa Bags talks about you often! I'd be happy to talk to you about our benefit dinner. It would be easier for me to chat with you over the phone and you can ask any question you like, 970-481-1619. Looking forward to talking with you.
