About Me:
I am the founder and president of Think Humanity. Our non-profit provides malaria medication and mosquito nets to refugees in Africa. Also we are in the process of building an orphanage for refugee children in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in western Uganda. My life is now dedicated to improving the lives of refugees. We believe that it is best to give the refugees control and empowerment over projects because they know what is most needed in the camp and how it can best/most effectively be implemented. The ultimate goal is to help build the North Kivu area in the DRC by modeling the same program that we have started in Kyangwali. Please check out our website for further information on our projects.

Step Into Africa

Wednesday night, July 9, a group from Crossroads Covenant Church went down to Cherry Hills and went through Step Into Africa. It was very moving and I recommend everybody to attend this event when it comes up to Northern Colorado. September 29 it will be at the Crossroads Church on 57th and Taft in Loveland and then as seen on PA - it will follow that week up at CSU. I went through the life of a little girl from Uganda, which seems appropriate since our non-profit is located in Uganda. I was sta… Continue

Net distribution to the Acholi Tribe of N. Uganda and other villages within the camp

Here is a short clip showing some volunteers counting up mosquito nets and distributing to pastors and block chairmen in the Acholi Tribe Village in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in w. Uganda. This was the last distribtuion and we had the process down pretty good by this time. We learned that sometimes it is better to deal with leaders than with too many people crowding in all at once. Otherwise, all the distribtuions went very well and people were so thankful.… Continue

Wed or Thursday of this week would work for silk screening. Even if you wanted to drop some shirts off I could do them and get them to you. I am not working towards the end of the week so I will have some free time.

Hello Beth!

Sorry it has been so long since I have gotten back to you. It is amazing how times fly and I have had a super busy summer.
How was the Trip? I know you were leaving days after I saw you at Crossroads. I have not been able to so much with our group lately, but I wanted to let you know my brother who went to Kenya with me last year was asked to be part of a project going on in Tanzania. He leaves tomorrow and will be there for 2 weeks. Please pray for safe travels and blessing in this region of AFRICA! The group he is going with is Peace House Foundation! I would still like to put together info for any of your upcoming news letter, but wanted to let you know that I haven't gotten it. Can you add me to your distribution list?

Thanks again and I hope all is well! (Still getting familiar with this site!)

Stephanie

Yeah, it was awesome! I don't know if you saw my question in the comment I left yesterday- may I use you as a reference for my application to volunteer for the Northern Colorado AIDS Project?
