Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction for Orphanage Project Liberia

Mark your calendars, PLEASE! We have an official date for our benefit dinner and silent auction, Saturday August 9th. We are really excited. We are having it at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fort Collins. The Knights have graciously donated the use of the hall (so it is free!), so now the only other big detail we need to nail down is food/caterer. If you know of anyone that would be willing to donate some items to our silent auction, please let me know. Also, if you know anyone who had auction… Continue

Great to see you and Jeremy. I'm so excited about James, and pray for patience for you all as you wait to be together. :-)

Actually you should concentrate on the school aspect. You could get the funding for that part of the project thus allowing your funds that you do have for the orphanage part. And because you are schooling kids; you should be talking with the minister of education to see what the government impute would be. I can put you in touch if you like.

Thanks but I have it all done. Just waiting on my paperwork from the state for approval. I expect it soon. Been working on proposals, grant writting, and research from there. Along with connecting with lots of people for projects and funding. How is it going for the orphanage for you?

I am just sorry it took me so long to get connected to you all. Soon I will be able to post all the projects we are set to do in Liberia as well. Just waiting on NGO accreditation at this time. Take care you-

Kami, the $6,000 is to finish our orphanage project. It is for the ceiling, latrine, shed for livestock, 12 beds, mattresses, bedding and furniture - 4 tables, chairs and then some misc things like parafin, paint, etc. The first building is almost completed. We want to have children in the building by February. There will be more to add later, but this is what we need to open up.

Kami--I feel so out of the loop. I am curious how your fund-raising is doing for your orphanage. I am leaving to meet my daughter, but just curious - thinking about your npo.

Kami, Crossroads Covenant Church will have the World Vision, AIDS Experience on September 30-October 6. You might want to add that to the calendar. It will be open to the public. Beth
